Here at ShowReal your safety is of the utmost importance to us
Whilst we do not anticipate any issues, it is essential that you remain safe and vigilant when using our dating service on our website or the ShowReal app. It may be that you are reviewing this document as a casual user before deciding whether to register to use the service, or it may be that you are a registered user looking for further information. Either way, this document contains very important guidance and should be read carefully.
You understand that we do not perform any background screenings or checks on users and that our users provide all content (such as video showreals and user details) to us in good faith. It is up to you to do your own research and remain cautious. If you are concerned about any of the content on our service, please contact us at email@example.com and we will investigate your query or concern in line with our Registration Terms.
Our service allows you to interact with other users and those interactions are at all times your sole responsible. Our Registration Terms deals in detail with any liability we may have to our registered users but for now, please note that we will not be liable (directly or indirectly) to you for any death, personal injury, loss, damage or expense that you suffer resulting from your interactions with other users or the conduct of another user, unless that arose from our negligence or fraud. If you are concerned about the conduct of another user, you can use your account to report and/or block a user. We shall investigate all concerns as soon as possible.
These safety tips have been prepared as guidance and should be read carefully, ideally in advance of any interaction that you may have with another user of our service. They are however not an exhaustive list of safety tips and you will need to remain alert throughout your interactions with other users.
Be very careful if you choose to disclose personal information, such as your full name, email address or telephone number. Never reveal your home address until you have established a relationship with the person that you are corresponding with and are confident you can trust him or her.
Do not disclose any financial information. Your financial information should be kept private at all times.
Report to us any requests for your username and password. We will never ask for your password by email or SMS.
Get to know the other user before you meet up with them offline.
Always arrange to meet in a public space (ideally somewhere populated rather than a private or remote location) and take your mobile telephone.
Tell a friend, family member, or both, about your meet up. Tell them when you expect to be home afterwards and contact them to tell them you’re home.
During your meet up, only drink alcohol in moderation and remain aware of the legal alcohol limits if you’re driving. Alcohol can impair your judgement and may make you vulnerable, so it’s important to remain cautious especially if you’re meeting somebody who you don’t know well.
Always know how you’re getting home (such as a taxi, train, or if you’re driving). You must be in control of your own transport. Even if the other user volunteers to pick you up, do not get into a vehicle with someone you don’t know and trust, especially if it is a first meeting.
If you have any queries or concerns about user safety, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be more than happy to assist you.
